MEMORIAL STAR:
HROB Team

Memorial Star High Risk Obstetric (HROB) Team is one the few services in the nation dedicated to the care and transport of the high risk pregnant woman.

The HROB Team focus is the evaluation, stabilization and transport of these patients. Resources include transport by rotor wing, fixed wing, or ground ambulance as appropriate.

The Memorial Star HROB Transport Team service numerous facilities in Southern Colorado and neighboring states, bringing patients to Memorial Health System for state-of-the-art care provided by our Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists. We also have the ability to transport patients to other specialized facilities when necessary. The HROB Team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

Team configuration is typically a HROB RN and a Registered Respiratory Therapist, both experts in the care and transport of high risk pregnant women.

ABOUT our HROB Nurses:

Our HROB RN’s are required to have a minimum of 3 years of high-risk OB nursing experience in a tertiary care center, maintain certifications in BLS, NRP, and ACLS, show continuing competency in obstetric and neonatal emergencies, and hold a certification in inpatient obstetric nursing (RNC-OB) through the National Certification Corporation. ABOUT our Specialty Team Respiratory Therapists:

Transport Registered Respiratory Therapists are required to have at least 3 years of critical care experience as well being certified as a neonatal-pediatric specialist. If you would like to meet our respiratory therapists please access our Meet the Specialty Team page.
