Flight paramedics have ALS pre-hospital experience with specialized training in critical care transports and must have at least 3 years of experience. The average Memorial Star Flight Paramedic has been involved in EMS 10 years or longer.

The combination of the paramedic's pre-hospital experience with the flight nurse's background provide Memorial Star with an efficient team capable of transporting from the scene of a motor vehicle crash on the interstate or from the emergency room of an area community hospital.
